With a range of multi sports and performing art activities, children will be able to participate in a variety of sessions under the guidance of our passionate and enthusiastic team.
Before the Camp Starts
How do I book a place for my child?
This is made easiest for us if you are able to book online. Simply visit our Activity Camp section of the website and select the venue you wish for your child to attend (options for siblings too). You then simply fill out the online booking form which provides us with all the information we need. A confirmation email will be sent to you upon completion of payment via our secure page.
We do also allow payment by cheque or you can pay on the day, please get in touch with us beforehand if you wish to do this so that we can send you a booking form in advance and staff accordingly.
We do not currently accept child care vouchers.
What if I need to change dates or amend my booking details?
We appreciate sometimes things change. If you need to update your details or amend them slightly then please contact us on 01564 742 990 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the amendment request. To cancel a booking, please refer to our Terms and Conditions.
Are there any discounts?
Yes, for siblings – please select the venue you are considering to send your child where the discount will be noted.
On the day
Where will I drop off my child?
When attending any of our venues, we will have a Team Leader waiting at the front entrance to welcome you and your child and direct you to the registration area. At the registration point one of the Team Managers will be present to answer any questions you may have and one of our team will take your child to the meeting point and help them get settled in.
What happens when I pick up my child?
On arrival, please make your way to the registration area. There, one of our Team Leaders will bring your child with their belongings. Any notes regarding accidents or behaviour will be mentioned to you if necessary.
Can I request a change to my booking after paying online?
Any new requests or change of details we would appreciate being informed about before the day of the camp. However, on arrival, if you need to pick up your child early or may require the extended hours service, this can be arranged. Additionally, if you have new medical information we need to be made aware of or a change of contact number, again we can amend these details on the day.
What are extended hours?
We aim to be as flexible as possible and understand providing your child with the option of an extended day will help support your busy schedule and work commitments. Our extended hours run between 4 – 6pm at an additional cost of £4 and allow you to pick up your child any time between this period. We will provide physical activities indoors plus the opportunity for children to relax after an action-packed day. If you are running late to collect your child by 6pm then please contact us on the contact number provided to you on the day. Information on late pick up can be found on our Terms and Conditions.
How can I contact the Activity Camp during the day?
On the point of registration, we will provide you with contact details to take away with you.
What does my child need?
- Food and drink: A packed lunch, healthy snacks and refillable bottle. During the day there will be two break opportunities for snacks plus lunch time. We encourage all children to drink throughout the day and will have access to water to refill your child’s refillable bottle at any stage. NB: Lunches will not be refrigerated so please keep them wrapped in a cool bag/lunch box/tin foil. Also, as some children may have nut allergies, we would appreciate if you avoid these foods.
- Clothing: must account for the weather conditions and be suitable for your child to participate in physical activity sessions (something you don’t mind them running around in!) A change of clothes is also advised, just in case. Please label all clothing so that items can be returned to children.
- Extras: Sun cream (please make sure your child is able to apply this independently), a hat and waterproof coat would be suitable extras to pack.
- Footwear: Trainers are most suitable for both indoor and outdoor activities, we also allow astro-turf boots but not blade or studded boots.
What doesn’t my child need?
Please rest assured that everything outlined above is all your child will need on the day. Please do not provide your child with money, computer games or anything else that is valuable. We would also appreciate if your child did not wear any jewellery (including earrings and watches) that way, everybody is safe, and nothing is lost or damaged accidentally.
What are the ratios for my child’s age group?
For children under 8, the required staff ratio is 1:8. For children over 8 years of age, the required staff ratio is 1:16. However, we will operate at 1:9 for children over 8 by providing extra staff and creating a safe environment for all.
What if my child has allergies, a medical condition or educational need?
When completing our online booking form, there is a section for you to complete to inform us of any allergy, medical condition or educational need. Please make sure any medication needed for the day has your child’s name clearly marked and instructions on dosage and usage. Our coaches are used to dealing with a range of requirements on a day to day basis when coaching in schools and so please rest assured your child is in safe hands.
How do we deal with behaviour?
Working within schools on a daily basis, our staff have developed a range of behaviour management strategies to put in place to deal with all types of behaviour. It is our priority to make sure all children are safe and happy when participating in different activities throughout the day. Our rules are outlined at the start of each day and any behaviour issues will be passed on to our Team Manager. We will have warning systems but if behaviour problems are deemed serious, we will inform you. We will also hold the right to refuse a child from attending our camp again if problems persist.
What if my child has an accident?
Your child is in safe hands! At every venue we will have staff members who are trained in first aid, plus a Team Manager who is Emergency Paediatric First Aid Trained. If an accident does take place, our trained staff will deal with the incident, inform you and provide you with an accident form (just like in school). If your child is unwell, or if a more serious accident occurs, we will contact you immediately and take the required action from there.
Thank you for reading through this information in preparation of your child attending one of our activity camps. Please also refer to our Terms and Conditions. However, if you do have any further queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch by emailing email@example.com or calling 01564 742 990 where a member of the team will be happy to assist you.
